Ir is amazing how easy it is to forget to breathe when we need it most. Please force autumn just a bit sooner. Lovely words. Lovely pictures they create.
Thank you! I usually edit out/temper the tangents or leaps of un-logic as I like to call them, but here I didn’t. So your reaction means a lot to me. 🖤
Any cheap tickets to Tasmania? “stretch this moment to adorn my odds” perfect really, so I’m going to avail myself of this. Here I was, enjoying your poem as always, and then, there it is: Mia Goth. Is that a real person? Off to Safari to check. It is! Why didn’t I get a name that cool? Is she related to that other guy I didn’t know? Anyway, by the time I got back to Substack, the app had “rebooted” and I’d lost my place, with poem poem having vanished. So then I had to search for you just to find it again. Then I started a comment, then went back to check the quote above only to find my partially completed comment had evaporated. Is the word onematapaic (no, I’m not going to go and search for the correct spelling) where a poem instantly manifests itself as your life? So about the double poem up there. I’m too scared to edit it.
I smiled at 'boredom is a rug of comfort'. That feels familiar. I love the rhythm of this one... beautiful.
Thank you! I don’t usually write poetry in prose style, feels like an oxymoron in my head, lol, so I’m very glad you found some rhythm. 🖤
🤭🤍🖤

My lungs never cooperate. 😆
I’ll try my best with Autumn, can’t wait for summer to over.
Thank you! Glad the pictures/visuals came across. 🖤
This is fascinating. Your writing is exquisite.

I wrap fear in foil, and leave it in the fridge, knowing it will be there tomorrow.
Just wow
Thank you! 🖤
This line was the starting point, but somehow it became the ending.
I suppose I need to stop wrapping fear in foil. Maybe then it will rot quicker and I can toss it out.
Thought-provoking and visual, as is your jam. Loved this.
Excellent idea, I’ll try leaving it out on the counter. 😁
Thank you! Very happy to know it came across that way. 🥰
“Is there a word…” why is autocorrect so bad?
Autocorrect only works to turn fuck into duck. 😆
I know, right? Totally ducked up.

This comment is better than my poem. 🖤
And Mia Goth really won the name and the acting talent lottery.
I’ll take a closer look. Any recommended entry point on her work?
Pearl (2022) was the first one I watched, so that remains the best in my biased opinion. 😁
Free… and brave.❤️
One hopes. 🖤
